Our Family's Story
Just a Family Making Memories!
A few Christmases back, Jennifer and I were faced with a decision to make: “What will we do with the elf?” Our kids were getting older and had started hearing stories about an elf who joined families during the Christmas season and got into all kinds of mischief. That piqued their interest, and they wondered if we could get an elf of our own. After giving it some thought, Jennifer and I decided to create our own Christmas tradition, and Mako the Moose was born.
Mako is a fun-loving moose who joins families on Thanksgiving Day and helps them prepare for Christmas by planning all kinds of fun adventures. Each night while the kids are sleeping, Mako leaps into action by planning and preparing for what he and the kids will do the next day. When morning comes, the kids search and find Mako somewhere in the house, ready for an adventure with a note explaining the day’s plan.

Why was this important to us? Because we wanted to build memories our kids would treasure long after they’re grown, and we loved the idea of inviting a fun-loving character into our home—one who could bring joy, spark imagination, and help create moments our family would never forget.
